Science and Math Programs

Our All-County Math 24 Champions for 2005

National School District has a proud history of excellence in science and math education. For over 20 years we have provided high-level teacher training via a series of partnerships with the University of California San Diego, the Birch Aquarium, the U.S. Navy and others to elevate the quality of science and math teaching in the district. During the past several years, over 50 teachers have completed intensive training to earn special certificates as science and math specialists.

Special district programs such as M.A.R.E. (Marine Activities, Resources and Education), the Marine Science Floating Lab, the Starbase Atlantis project, and the annual County-wide Math 24 competitions have provided students with opportunities to become involved in science and math activities that develop interest and a passion for life-long learning.
