Traffic Safety
An ongoing problem in front of our school is
traffic before and after school. If each of us
takes responsibility for our actions we can make
it safer for all students.
A few things to remember:
*Please pull to the side of the street when
dropping off or picking up students. *Cross in crosswalks and follow instructions of
the safety patrol. *U-turns are always unsafe during high traffic
times. *Parking lots are for staff parking only, not
for drop off or pick up of students. Children
should not be walking or running through the
parking lots.

Attendance
STUDENTS WHO ARRVE LATE DURING TESTING WILL HAVE
TO TEST ON ANOTHER DAY!
Daily attendance is very important for learning to
take place. Students should be at school in their
classrooms by 8:15. Please call the office at
336-8600 or send a note if your child is absent.
The number of students who arrive late and leave
early is becoming a big problem. We will begin
having detention for students who arrive late.
Every minute of instruction is important. At the
end of the day teachers are explaining homework
and giving instructions. Because we do not want
to interrupt this critical time for all students
we will not call the classroom for early dismissal
after 2:20. By the time we call the room,
students gather their work and come to the office
it would be dismissal time. |
